First, not every tie are made to fit any size male physique. Take a good long look at the physical attributes of your guy. Is he tall and is some of his extra height in his chest tummy rather than his legs? If so, you immediately know that you should look for a men’s shop that carries these ties for men with longer trunks.
Next, consider the way your guy dresses. Is he partial to white shirts and conservative blue or black suits? Or is he more daring and apt to wear a bold color now and then? The interesting thing is that if your guy is conservative, you may want to buy him a silk tie that has a little color to it, as a way of livening up an otherwise somber look. On the other hand, it he has a closet full of brightly colored dress shirts and blazers, a silk tie on the more low-key side might tone down the heat a notch.
Lastly, stay away from trendy widths.
