Perhaps it’s because robes were the garments worn by kings that makes them so attractive. Even the cheapest silk robe can make you feel like a king in your home. Since silk is such a luxurious kind of fabric, the silk robe is even more enchanting. Contrary to what many people believe, you don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars on a silk robe. A quality silk robe can be purchased from a low-end retail store for less than fifty dollars.
While there are some excellent reasons for wearing such a robe, there are some cons against it too. Compared to cotton robes, these robes do not have good water absorbency. If you plan on wearing the robe when you get out of the shower, you will have to dry off first. Otherwise, your robe will not fully absorb the water and you will feel wet for hours.
